Dear All,

Many apologises but after 10 days I finally have internet access. So here is a quick precee of this most fantastic trip so far.

Friday 1st July - 3pm departure. 47.6 miles to Newhaven. Arrived at 9.30pm. £22.50 charge. Great curry from Jackie. Superb sunset.

Saturday 2nd July - 4 hours sleep. Channel crossing. Fantastic sunrise

Beautiful crossing, almost run down by Maersk container doing 24 knots! St Valery sea lock kept open for us and we reach Pont Remy. Roast pork joint on cob. Bed at 11pm.

Having major problems with download and internet connection. So just to say it is absolutely magnificent and everything and more than we had anticipated. So many pictures and tales but will have to wait for time to publish. Currently waiting for chicken to cook Drinking Leffe in beautiful late sunshine at the stunning Societe Nautique de'Epernay. Everything, touch wood, going to plan.Happy birthday Mum, wish you were here- posted 11th July.
